After more than twenty years helping people navigate life and death, I decided to pursue my life calling as an End-of-Life Doula. I received my certification through the University of Vermont. My goal is to empower those who are transitioning from this life with grace and dignity. One of the ways of accomplishing that is by providing individualized emotional, spiritual, and informational support for my clients at the end of their life’s journey as well as for their loved ones. Another way is by providing education and advocacy to my clients ensuring that they and their loved ones are empowered to make the decisions that are best for them. My hope is to inspire those I serve to see death as a natural transition with its own innate gifts and beauty, instead of something to be avoided and feared.
In my practice I focus on accompanying terminally ill patients on the path to the end of life, on planning associated with all aspects of this, and on acting as a support for their desires and providing the best quality of life until the end. With families, I work holistically to create a healing and loving space for their loved one and for them, as well, during the journey of illness, the transition from death and grief.
